Route & Rules
Off The Beaten Track is not your average road race, and we cannot stress this enough. Try to keep in mind the race is designed to test endurance and wit, not necessarily speed (although there is always a nominal prize for the first finishers – team, male and female). The route is kept secret until a week before the race. Once released, you are expected to learn your route and know it well - otherwise you’ll get lost and be out of the running, so to speak!
Again, don’t expect to be able to run this one with your eyes closed – you will be going Off The Beaten Track! Markings/signage is intentionally minimal. Each runner must be familiar with his/her leg route prior to the race, be self-sufficient, and carry any provisions needed (including a map if necessary) during the race. Bottled water and some food will be provided at designated checkpoints.

** Please note, effective 21 February, for safety reasons, Leg 5 has been amended to omit the section between Raleigh Quay and Yacht Drive along the new bypass extension. Runners are to exit from behind the old Marriott Hotel and take West Bay Road up to the Leg finish located at Yacht Drive. In addition, dike water crossings in Legs 4 and 5 will be negotiated by planks to be positioned the day before race day. **
